Congratulations to the the 13UG team who took home a Bronze at the Challenge Cup. Finishing first in the pool play set them up well for quarter finals. Easily winning quarter finals the Tigers ended up challenging the Stratford Stingers who they lost to in two challenging sets (18-25, 19-25). The Tigers would replay Hamilton Smash Boom whom they beat in pool play earlier in the day. The second game followed the same as the first game, Smash winning the first set and Tigers winning the second and third set to take the Bronze. The team has come a long way in the 4 weeks since initial jitters at the Provincial Cup. Congratulations!

16u Provincial Cup
This past weekend, our Tigers Ambush, Tigers Fury, and Tigers Apex joined Stratford Stingers, Cambridge Scorpions, Norfolk Chaos, MVC, and Guelph Jr Gryphons to play for the Provincial Cup glory in the small town of Simcoe Ontario.
The Tigers Ambush team had a mixed result in the round robin matches and ended up second in their pool. They lost their crossover match and unfortunately lost their final match ending up 7th overall.
The Tigers Fury team lost all of their morning matches ending up at the bottom of their pool. They faced a tough Stratford team with the crossover match but lost a very close one in three sets (25-27 / 25-23 / 13-15). They then faced the Guelph Jr Gryphons and were able to pull through with another close one (30-28 / 21-25 / 15-13) to move on to one final match of the day. Facing the Norfolk Chaos Attack for the second time, the Tigers Fury were not phased with another three set match and capped off their day with a win in three sets (25-23 / 17-25 / 15-12). This win propelled them to 5th place!
The Tigers Apex team performed very well during the round robin matches. They won their crossover match to give them an opportunity to play for a medal. They lost their semi-final game but turned it around in the Bronze medal match – winning against Stratford Stingers – Ken. Congratulations Tigers Apex.
