Waterloo Tigers Invitational Matches are a hit!

This past weekend found the Waterloo Tigers 13U Black team playing their first tournament of the season at the Waterloo Tigers Invitational 13U Exhibition Matches hosted out of Forest Heights Collegiate Institute in Kitchener. With four new players, they took the first two games to find their footing and the line ups that worked well to compliment each other. Taking the last three teams by storm, they finished the day tied for 4th place. Looking forward to seeing this team rock the OVA Provincial Cup tournament at Rockway Mennonite Collegiate in Kitchener this coming weekend!

Waterloo Tigers prevalent in Waterloo Region school volleyball

As the Boys Volleyball teams with the various high schools battle through their regular season, you will recognize some athletes that are competing with both their high school team and for the Waterloo Tigers.

Mark Bryson of The Record penned a wonderful article regarding the Preston Panthers and the Cameron Heights Golden Gaels. In the article, Riley Litwiller, 18u Tigers Black, discusses the challenges of overcoming mistakes that let the other team have a chance to win.

“We shouldn’t have let them pull ahead like that, they were our mistakes really,” he said. “But we pulled it out in the end, a pretty luck win for us.”

Good luck to all of our Tigers as they compete in their high school matches.
