Tigers Summer Camps have a new location!

Hi everyone,

Because of major construction taking place in a number of area schools this summer, including WCI, we had to change the location of the camp. We waited until now to let you know, hoping that WCI would become available, but this will not happen. However, Lester B. Pearson and Lexington are both more than adequate schools.

Both the Open Camp (July 10 –  14) and the Club Camp (July 17 – 21) will be held at Lester B. Pearson elementary school in Waterloo (near RIM Park) as well as Lexington public school, which is close to LBP.

For the first camp day on the Monday, EVERYONE (campers, coaches, parents, etc.), will be at Lester B. Pearson. Enter by the main front door (which will remain unlocked all day) and “sign in” at the registration table.
Your camp location for the rest of the week will be determined before you leave the school on Monday afternoon.

Payment for the camp will be made on the first day (either cash or cheque, payable to the Waterloo Volleyball Club – we cannot accept credit/debit cards).

Don’t forget to register for the Club Camp July 17 – 21.   It costs only $100.00 for the whole week!!

This is a very inexpensive way to greatly improve your volleyball skills and have lots of fun in a positive environment.

You can register online at www.waterlootigersvbc.com and pay on the first day of camp.  (or click here to register)

Camp highlights include:

  • instruction on how to play all positions
  • learn footwork for the different types of attacks
  • learn different serves (jump float, spike serve, etc.)
  • instruction in the libero position
  • instruction in hand/foot positioning for setting
  • camp director Emil Enriquez – Tigers coach and assistant coach at U of Guelph for the past 9 years
  • 3:1 ratio of coaches to athletes
  • guest coach Steve Dow, assistant coach Western University, OVA high performance and team Ontario
  • t-shirt for all athletes
  • pizza lunch on the last day
  • lots and lots of play

We look forward to seeing you out at the camp.

John Nelson
