HELLO EVERYONE,
The start date for Spring VDP has had to be changed. We lost the use of Forest Heights on Saturday April 26 and have been forced to improvise for the first week.
We also have had a larger number of registrations than expected, so we have had to move those athletes born in 2012 to Sunday afternoons at Forest Heights beginning with week 2 on May 4.
(for week 1, those born in 2012 will go to Forest Heights on Tuesday April 29. See the times already listed above). IF YOU CANNOT DO SUNDAYS YOU CAN ATTEND EITHER OF THE 2011 SESSIONS ON SATURDAYS. I am sorry for the inconvenience this may present, but we do not want to lose anyone from the program!
Spring VDP now begins on Sunday April 27, 2025 at Forest Heights Collegiate at 255 Fischer- Hallman Road in Kitchener. The dates and session times are listed above and are based on the years of birth.
A) Due to large numbers,
There are TWO SESSIONS FOR ATHLETES BORN IN EITHER 2011 and 2012. Half of you who registered have first names beginning A-I, and the other half begin J-Z. It is important that these four sessions have similar numbers, but athletes’ carpooling or coming with friends, or are only able to attend one time, may go to either sessions of 2011 or 2012.
B) It is possible for an athlete to go to a different age session if need be. (Siblings or time conflict).
C) A waiver is attached to this email. Please print a copy and bring it when you check-in.
Note: You do not need to do this again if you have already filled out one since September 2024.
COST: $100.00 payable in cash on the 27th or 29th or on the first day that you attend. There is financial assistance at Kidsport Kitchener and there is a link on our Tigers Website.
WHAT TO BRING
A water bottle - or use the water fountain.
Gym clothes - running shoes. You do not need to bring a ball - volleyballs are provided.
SPRING VDP is headed by Juan Paolo Maranan (JP) and Terry Hinschberger, assisted by a number of senior Tigers athletes.
We hope that everyone had a great time learning and playing the sport of volleyball - the fastest growing team sport in the world.
